My Journey Begins — Data Science & Machine Learning
I don’t know what the journey holds but I’m excited about what I will learn along the way
It is Sunday here in Melbourne, Australia, exactly two weeks into the winter season. I’d be lying if I said that I didn’t check my calendar to make sure which day of the week it was before I started writing this article.
Similar to most people, the last couple of months for me have been extremely uneventful due to the nationwide stay-at-home restrictions prompted by the global pandemic that has taken all of us by storm.
During this time, I had felt the urge to do something. As a matter of fact, something that I should have done a long while ago and that is to document my journey learning data science and machine learning.
In this article, I want to share how I stumbled upon data science, why I decided to transition from actuarial science into data science, my progress thus far as well as my plan of attack going forward.
