I managed to get an entry-level job straight out of university so the bar was relatively low. I’d imagine it would be more challenging to interview once you get to more senior level, though I’m quite surprised to hear you are struggling despite having a Masters degree.
Personally, I wouldn’t advise taking actuarial exams unless you are really sure you want to go down that path as it is a big time commitment of several years. Perhaps upskilling in Python and SQL is a better use of your time.
